Beleximgarant signs two-year agreement with Italia’s SACE
MINSK, PRIME-TASS. Belarus’ state-owned company Beleximgarant and Italy’s export credit agency SACE S.p.A. signed a two-year cooperation agreement, the press service of Belarus’ Foreign Affairs Ministry reports.
By signing the agreement, the parties undertake to exchange assessments of macroeconomic and market trends as well as unrestricted information on economic operators, mutual consultations on legal aspects of transactions, risk analysis and monitoring of export transactions.
The agreement was signed in Rome by Beleximgarant CEO General Gennadi Mitskevich and SACE Director General Alessandro Castellano.
Founded in 2001, Beleximgarant is Belarus’ sole provider of export insurance support for local companies. Beleximgarant is a prominent player on Belarus’ insurance market – ranked 5th in 2011 with regard to the total value of premiums collected.
Italy’s state-owned SACE offers a complex range of instruments for credit insurance, investment protection, the provision of sureties and financial guarantees to 180 countries. In February 2012 SACE introduced another 50 million euro limit on insurance guarantees for export transactions with Belarus.
