Customs Union to adjust single customs tariff on Sep 1
MINSK, PRIME-TASS. The adjusted single customs tariff of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan will most likely be launched on September 1, 2012.
Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Gurianov made a statement to this effect at an extended session of the standing committee at the Advisory Board for Foreign Investments under the Cabinet of Ministers of Belarus on June 28.
The business community should get prepared for the changes that will come into force somewhere on 1 September after Russia will assume new obligations as a WTO member, Gurianov said.
As previously reported, the average weighted rate of the customs tariff is expected to reduce from 10% to about 7.5-8%.
