International economic forum, fair open in Lida
GRODNO, (BelTA) – The International Economic Forum and Fair Lida-Region-2012 opened in Lida on 29 June, BelTA learnt from the Economy Department of the Lida District Executive Committee.
The forum and the fair will be held in Lida for the seventh time. The district center traditionally becomes a place for business meetings and negotiations. This year the exhibition will be held in an extended format. Attending the exhibition will be manufacturers from Lida District and representatives from Grodno Oblast (Korelichi, Voronovo, Shchuchin, Slonim, Ivie, Diatlovo, Novogrudok).
Over 100 enterprises from eight districts of the region will present their economic and investment potential at the exhibition. The program of the event includes presentations of investment projects by Grodno Oblast’s districts.
Attending the event will be organizations of different forms of ownership and individual entrepreneurs. The participants are set to visit local enterprises and to the working sites of the investment objects. It is also planned to hold an investment and business match-making session.
The International Economic Forum and the fair intend to promote cooperation between the regions, cities and economic units, increase investment potential, present projects, find new business partners and create joint ventures.
Over the six years Lida-Region has welcomed delegations from 25 counties, including 18 representatives of diplomatic missions.
