Belarus’ mineral fertilizer output down 1.1% on year in Jan-Jun 2012
Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers decreased 1.1% on the year in January-June 2012 to 3.242 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told Prime-TASS.
The output of potash fertilizers decreased 2.8% on the year in January-June to 2.7 million tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 5.7% to 427,600 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went up 16.7% to 114,500 tonnes in the period.
Chemical fiber and filament production grew 4.1% to 116,100 tonnes.
Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 45.9% on the year in January-June 2012 to 46.412 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms ($5.592 billion at the NBB rate).
Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 30.9% of the average monthly output, or 1.614 trillion rubles ($194.458 million).
