NBRB gold reserves 200kg down in Q2 2012
The gold reserves of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus lost 200kg in Q2 2012 and now stand at 31.7 tonnes, NBRB representatives told BelTA.
Thus, in Q2 2012 the gold reserves returned to the figure registered on 1 January 2012 after the reserves grew by 200kg in Q1 2012 to 31.9 tonnes as of 1 April 2012.
It should be noted that in Q4 2011 the NBRB gold reserves gained 700kg. In the year 2011 the gold reserves of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus grew by 400kg.
The gold reserves of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus are calculated in metric tonnes and comprise gold (the larger part of the reserves), silver, platinum, and palladium.
