BelAZ ships almost 500 trucks to India
The Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) has shipped almost 500 trucks to India, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Manoj Bharti told media on 14 August.
According to the diplomat, after a six-year hiatus Belarus is expected to partake in the International Indian Trade Fair (IITF): “India promised support to Belarus and provided it with the status of a partner country at the exhibition.” In his words, BelAZ will be one of the IITF biggest participants. “The Belarusian plant has already supplied 491 trucks to India.”
The Indian Ambassador congratulated Belarus on the recent economic success: “Foreign trade and investment have shown a notable increase recently. So has the manufacturing industry. The Customs Union has started its functioning and brings results.” The diplomat believes that the abovementioned will help expand the economic cooperation potential for the two countries. In particular, the Ambassador sees big prospects in the pharmaceutical, energy and the IT sectors.
