Belstankoinstrument holding company set up in Belarus
Belstankoinstrument holding company has been launched in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Industry Ministry.
The Minsk Machine Tool Plant has become its management company. The holding company has comprised 16 companies of the Industry Ministry with the total workforce of nearly 9,600 people. Among them is the Orsha-based Krasny Borets Machine Tool Plant, the Masherov Plant of Automatic Lines in Minsk, StankoGomel, the Kirov Machine Tool Plant, the Belorgstankinprom Institute, other machine tool and instrument plants of the country.
Founded in 1908, the Minsk Machine Tool Plant produces heavy multifunctional metal-cutting equipment and complexes for part processing. The company specializes in production of milling devices for high-precision processing of stamping and molding tools, models and 3D large-sized steel and iron parts as well as light-alloy articles.
Belstankoinstrument is the seventh holding company for the Industry Ministry of Belarus. So far there have been set up the following holding companies: Horizont, Avtokomponenty, Amkodor, BelOMO, BelavtoMAZ, and the Belarusian Steel Company.
