India intends to step up cooperation with Belarus in IT-industry
Indian companies plan to step up cooperation with Belarusian partners in IT-industry, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Manoj Bharti told the media on 14 August, BelTA has learnt.
“Some Indian companies see Belarus as an outsourcing territory for their software developments which they are going to sell to Europe… We expect an increase in the number of offices of Indian IT-companies in Belarus,” the Ambassador said.
Representatives of the Indian companies who came to Belarus were impressed by the level of training of Belarusian IT specialists. “They appreciate it and they are sure Belarus is the right choice for joint partnerships,” Manoj Bharti said.
The Ambassador also noted that a Belarusian-Indian training center operates at the High-Tech Park. Over 2,000 specialists have already undergone training there. This center was opened with the support from an Indian company that continues cooperation with the High-Tech Park. “They are going to develop some new software in mobile communications,” Manoj Bharti stressed. The center was opened in 2011. It specializes in professional improvement of IT-specialists and professors from technical universities. It also trains IT specialists for enterprises.
