Belarus companies’ Br bank deposits up 7.5%, FX deposits up 8.3% in July 2012
Belarusian companies’ deposits with domestic banks were at 25.322 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of August 1, 2012, up 7.5% on month in July 2012, an official with the National Bank of Belarus (NBB)’s information department told PRIME-TASS. This totals U.S. $3.04 billion at the official rate of the central bank.
Belarusian companies’ ruble deposits grew 22.9% in January-July 2012.
Companies’ foreign currency deposits increased 8.3% in July 2012 up to $3.849 billion as of Ausgut 1, 2012. In January-July FX deposits increased 12.4%.
In 2011, Belarusian companies’ ruble-denominated deposits rose 90% on the year to 20.6 trillion rubles, while foreign currency deposits rose 14.4% to $3.423 billion.
