Gomelsteklo says exports up 14.7% to $19.863m
Belarus’ OAO Gomelsteklo glass-producing company exported $19.863 million worth of commodities in January-June 2012. up 14.7% on the year, the company administration told Prime-TASS.
Exports account for 50% of the company’s business proceeds. The company exports various modifications of polished glass to Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia and Kazakhstan.
Established in 1930, Gomel Glass Factory was converted into OAO Gomelsteklo in 1997, with the government of Belarus holding a 90% stake. Gomelsteklo is the country’s sole producer of float glass.
