Friday forex session: ruble down 0.12% against dollar to Br8,420/$1
Following the bidding at the single forex session of the Belarusian Stock and Currency Exchange (BSCE), the Belarusian ruble stood at Br8,420/$1 to the dollar on Friday, down 0.12% on the previous day of trading, a BCSE representative told Prime-TASS.
Following the bidding at the single forex session on Friday, the ruble stood at Br10,530/EUR1 against the euro, up 0.19%; at Br258.5/RUB1 against the Russian ruble, up 0.77%.
As previously reported, Belarus’ Currency and Stock Exchange introduced a single foreign exchange trading session October 20, 2011, and cancelled the ruble exchange rate band around the basket of currencies.
The exchange rate registered at the single forex session shall be the central bank’s official rate of the Belarusian ruble for the day that follows the day of trading.
The rates fixed at the single forex session shall be regarded the official rate of the central bank for the day, which follows the day of the trading.
