China, Ecuador boost cooperation in strategic sectors
BEIJING, April 28 (NNN-Prensa Latina): Ecuador and China have discussed some ways to boost cooperation in the fields of energy and hydraulic resources, a mission that the Coordinating Minister of Strategic Sectors, Jorge Glas, fulfilled with local authorities.
One of the issues was the financing the Pacific Refinery, an objective in which achievements were made, Glas told Prensa Latina.
The funds required for the project are estimated at 13 billion USD.
The minister met with executives from Chinese banks, among others, meetings that Glas described as successful. He highlighted the willingness of those parties to contribute to cooperation.
The minister was satisfied with the result of his working visit to strengthen ties between the two economies, recognized as complementary despite their differences.
