Cuban foreign trade minister meets French businessmen
PARIS, (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) - Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, held a meeting with businessmen and representatives of French government agencies.
The meeting, held this week, was promoted by the Movement of French Enterprises (MEDEF) which was established in 1998 and brings together thousands of firms, mainly SMEs.
Malmierca provided extensive information about the Cuban economic situation, the measures implemented to reduce the effects of the international financial crisis and the blockade imposed by the United States for over 50 years, said an official of the Cuban embassy.
He also briefed them on the business and investment opportunities in different sectors of the Cuban economy.
At the meeting, Thierry Courtaiche, vice president and general manager of MEDEF, stressed the traditional links between both countries. |
