Main distinctive features of spirometer “MAS-1”
- An automatic evaluation of a respiratory system state with a help of measuring and calculation of more than 40 external respiration parameters.
- Availability of up to 11 Spirometry Normal Values Standards that are the most widespread in the CIS and Europe (Clement, European Community for Coal and Steel, Knudson, Shiryaeva, Zapletal, Quanjer etc.) including 2 Russian standards – Saint-Petersburg Institute for Scientific Research on Pulmonology (by Clement and by Shiryaeva).
- Objectivity and authenticity of spirometric examinations. An automatic choice of the best attempt, control of producibility and technical acceptability of tests in accordance with ATS/ERS-2005.
- Protocols are adapted to general-theoretical practice and enable examiners to conduct a patient’s external respiration screening at a glance.
- Separate protocols of bronchomotor tests (bronchodilation, provocation – up to eight investigations, functional).
- A user’s dialogue prompting system regulates the procedure and provides for a correct test performance.
- An automatic save of the results of all examinations made on the spirometer in an archive folder (not less than 50,000).
- Organization of patient’s personal examination history, possibility to compare results of different tests and external respiration parameter monitoring for the whole period of patient treatment, rehabilitation etc.
- Automatic issuance of a preliminary medical expert opinion.
- Automatic interpretation of bronchomotor test results.
- An automatic monitoring of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease risk factors (COPD-monitoring) during case monitoring and bronchomotor tests, calculation of “smoker index” (number of cigarettes per day*number of months in year).
- Examination of children is allowed starting from a four-year age. An animated children test allows to interest younger children in a correct performance of tests and increases quality and authenticity of spirometric tests in children.
- A thermostatted pneumotachometric respiration sensor (Fleisch tubes) enables examiners to perform not only single, but stream examinations (periodic health examination) with no accuracy loss. The sensor is second to none in terms of resistance to multiple sanitary disposals of parts that are in contact with a patient. The device does not require daily gauging.
- Providing for comprehensive spirometric examinations, an expert system “SpiroExpert-Profosmotr” reduces the full examination duration 3-fold.
- Measured volume – up to 10 litres, measured stream – up to ±18 liter/sec.
- Measurement accuracy – 3%.
- Screen — colour TFT VGA (options – LCD monochrome 1/4 VGA, external monitor).
- Keyboard – 30 quasi-touch keys (26 alphanumeric keys, 4 command keys) provides for full input of patient’s data (name, date of birth, height, weight etc).
- Power supply – 230 V, 50 Hz, 40 W
- Printing device – A4 printer (matrix printer, language Epson ECP/P, laser printer - language HP PCL3,5,6)
