    18.02.2010 Market of crop production of Belarus
    In 2009 in the Republic of Belarus the total harvest of agricultural crops exceeded by 1486.3 thousand tons, or 5.93% the level of a similar period of 2008. Comparative analysis of cropping by quarters is presented in Fig. 1. So, in I quarter the increase was 675.7 thousand tons or 25.6%, in II quarter – 873.6 thousand tons, or 20.76% in the III quarter there was a smallest target exceeding in an amount of $ 502.1 thousand tons, or 3.77%, while in IV quarter there was a reduction in harvest in an amount of 565.1 thousand tons, or 11.57%.

    According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, as of 1 October 2009, area under grain legumes and grain crops totaled 354 890 ha in the Brest region, 99.8% of which was gathered.

    According to the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Belstat), as of October 1, 2009 the total area for sugar beet harvesting made up 21 613 ha. In the Brest region leaders by the area under sugar beet harvest were Baranovichy and Kamenetsk areas: 3 321 and 2 835 hectares accordingly.

    10.12.2009 The market of grain and leguminous cultures of the Gomel region in 2009
    In the structure of manufacture of grain and leguminous cultures of the Gomel region the basic share is occupied by winter rye, triticale, grain maize. In 2009 by the agricultural organisations of the region were collected 1 106,5 thousand tons of grain and leguminous cultures (without corn) in the originally received weight that makes 104% to 2008, including about 65 thousand tons of leguminous cultures.

    03.12.2009 Production of sugar beet in the Grodno region
    In the Republic of Belarus, Grodno region is the second largest beet-growing area. In 2008 the cultivated area of sugar beet didn’t change in comparison with the previous year and made up 31 thousand ha. Gross harvest increased up 119.8 thousand tons in comparison with 2007. For 5 years, gross harvest of sugar beet increased by 42.9% and made up 1.538.2 thousand tons in 2008.
