According to Canadian Dairy Information Centre (CDIC), for the 1st half-year of 2010 cream and dairy cream sales in the country (except from Newfoundland and Labrador) made 136.54 million litres or 48 percent of the previous year’s sales. The sales of products under investigation by Canada’s regions are depicted on Fig. 1.

In physical terms the volume of imports shrank by 4.97 thous. tons or 4.84% as against the year 2008 and totaled 97.77 tons.

According to Canadian Dairy Information Centre, dairy export volume in 2009 amounted to CAD 229.55 million, that is by CAD 25.33 million (or by 9.94%) down compared to the figure of 2008. Export volume amounted to 83.7 thousand tonnes in volume terms, or 95.84% compared to the figure of the previous year. Canadian export dynamics of some dairy products in monetary terms during 2006-2009 is shown in Fig. 1.
