According to data by the Committee on Agriculture and Foodstuff of Novgorod oblast, the area seeded with the main agricultural crops by large-, middle- and small-sized agricultural enterprises as of June 16, 2010 amounted to 39,045 ha (+0.8% compared to 2009), including 19,091 ha of grain and pulse crops (+0.8%), 16,804 ha of potatoes (+0.8%), and 3,150 ha of vegetables (+0.5%) (Table 1).

According to the results of January-June 2009 investment volume made up 96% compared to the figure of January-June 2008. Only beginning with the second half of 2009 investment activity became more dynamic.
